This section shows the results of the marketing, product management, and engineering work I have lead over the past 10 years of my career.
Hammer Oilfield Technologies
Hammer Frac Plug
In early 2017, between Weatherford and Rubicon a partner and I developed and filed a patented a low cost composite frac plug technology. While at Rubicon I wasn’t able to work on the technology other than continue the patent process. In late 2019 when I left Rubicon, the patent issued and we were able to pursue the technology as a business.
With the patent in hand I created a complete business plan for the product and connected with 12+ private equity companies to discuss funding the business. After several meetings, it was clear that the best route to success with the product was to partner with a service company that can add the product to their portfolio of products and services. Ultimately, we partnered with a major wireline service provider in the US Land market.

RzrFRAC Composite Frac Plug Launch
Choice Completions invented the RzrFRAC Composite Frac Plug in mid-2016 and was acquired by Rubicon Oilfield International in April of 2017. I was charged with introducing the product commercially after the initial field trials and manage the growth of the products. Under my leadership we were able to grow the product from $2.0 MM in Q1 of 2017 to $10.0 MM in Q2 of 2018. This involved the creation of the entire sales package of information, content marketing, traditional marketing, and product innovaiton.
Content Marketing
I put together a content marketing campaign and targeted our potential customers. The goal of this campaign was to educate the customer based on our knowledge of frac plugs and the process in which they are used. This drove increased awareness of the plugs and directly resulted in over $750,000 worth of business with one operator in the Northeast United States.

Weatherford International
TruFRAC Composite Frac Plug Launch
At the beginning of 2014, Weatherford completed design and lab testing of their new fully composite TruFRAC Composite Frac Plug. My team and I worked to gain field trials, innovate the product, and then commercially launch the product. This included product modifications and portfolio proliferation, animations, videos, traditional media, and sales. The result was one of Weatherford’s most successful product introductions. In the first year of sales we were able to generate $25MM in revenue for the new product.
